SGH Research Day - what a great day!

Yesterday (19th August) the Shirley Glasstone Hughes Trust Fund hosted a research day: "How to win funding for primary care based research projects". The day was attended by dental practitioners, DCPs, dental academics and those working within oral health promotion and the wider dental community. Attendees learnt how the Trust Fund will soon be offering substantial monies to fund practice based research, and how they can have their own say in setting the research agenda.

It was a thoroughly enjoyable day and I would especially like to thank Professor David Moles for his excellent session on using evidence to improve practice.

Thanks to everyone who attended. I hope you all agree it was a great day and all that remains for me to say is:

It sounded like a good day - sorry I missed it. As a dental nurse studying for a BSc in Primary Dental Care practice based research is of great interest to me. I will be logging on to the site on a regular basis.

Thanks to the coverage in the latest BDJ I now know all about your organisation.
